Jennifer Lutz teaches 2nd grade at Martin Luther. She graduated from Concordia University Nebraska in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Special Education. Before attending Concordia, she received an Associate’s Degree from Tulsa Community College. Her parents currently reside in Collinsville, Oklahoma where she attended 4th-12th grade in the Collinsville Public School system.
Miss Lutz has wanted to teach since she was in kindergarten. She felt God calling her to serve children of all different backgrounds and abilities. After graduating from Concordia, Miss Lutz accepted a Call to teach 3rd grade at St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She loves teaching in a hands-on and engaging classroom using centers, technology, and different texts whenever possible. Her favorite subjects to teach are math and religion. Integrating faith into core subjects is the best part about teaching in a school like Martin Luther. Miss Lutz has been teaching at Martin Luther since 2016.
When Miss Lutz is not preparing lessons or working on a project for the classroom, she enjoys crafty projects, sewing, movies, and spending time with family and friends. She can also be found spending time with and cleaning up after her cat, Max.
Her favorite Bible verse is Mathew 6:34, “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Every day is a gift from God and Miss Lutz is blessed to share these days with her students! She looks forward to seeing the smiling faces of her students every morning as they prepare for a new day of learning and growing in Christ.
